"It would be impossible for me to fully capture the value and benefit of June Harrison's contribution as a c0-founder of the Anantara Vacation Club (AVC) business. She was a member of the original core launch team responsible for proposing the company's 5 year business plan, which was successfully accepted in 2010. As SVP Club Operations, June has been responsible for designing the Club's offering to its Club Owners and then implementing this vision, utilizing her 28 years of experience in the vacation ownership industry to tailor a lifestyle club geared toward the needs of the 21st century's luxury consumer.
Singe the launch, June has led the development and execution of the service strategy, partner programs and resort operations. She has been heavily involved in new resort design and selection to support AVC's ongoing expansions. She oversaw Club Services centres in Bangkok and Shanghai, and Club Resorts in Bangkok, Phuket, and Koh Samui in Thailand, Bali, Indonesia, Queenstown in New Zealand and in Sanya, China.
In 2013 a customer satisfaction score just short of 90% was achieved, which placed Anantara in the top three hotel brands in Asia for customer satisfaction. June's work and her expertise has set the stage for our emergence as the premier Vacation Ownership Club in the Asia Pacific and Middle East region"
“IRDS was engaged by Marriott Vacation Club International (MVCI) in 2002 to lead our Phuket, Thailand project and the start up of our Asia Pacific points-based program. During this time, MVCI Asia Pacific grew and expanded its activity from a small sales peration in Thailand to operations in 4 different countries today.
During Harold Derrah's tenure as a Consultant he successfully led the MVCI operations site in Thailand increasing sales volume by 700% despite some difficult circumstances such as Tsunami, SARS, bird flu and other geo-political events. During this period Harold also led the development of the Asia Pacific business plan for MVCI which culminated in the start-up and stabilization of the Regional Headquarters and off site sales and marketing offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Phuket, Thailand.
It is my belief that MVCI Asia Pacific would not have achieved the accomplishments to date without Harold Derrah's leadership and drive. Harold is highly respected by his team members as a leader who instils passion and direction for accomplishment of goals and objectives within time schedules and within budget. His level of self-motivation and accountability has greatly contributed to the success of our start up operations and has laid the foundation for what we hope to be MVCl's substantial growth in Asia Pacific.”
“Harold Derrah and June Harrison were retained by Minor International (MINT) through their company, International Resort Development Services, Inc (IRDS) to develop the business plan for Anantara Vacation Club (AVC), a wholly owned subsidiary of MINT. After the completion and approval of the business plan by the Board of MINT, IRDS was retained to start-up and organize the operations of AVC. Throughout the first 3 years Sales, Marketing and Administration operations were started in Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui and Bali. Operations were also started in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Sanya, China. AVC was profitable in its second year with increasing EDITDA and Net Profit YOY. Harold, June and the team were the drivers to get the Vacation Ownership business off the ground for MINT and positioned for future growth.
IRDS together with the Minor International team supervised the development, planning, construction and operational start-up of the award winning Anantara Vacation Club Resort in Phuket, Thailand. Awards were received for the ‘Best Vacation Ownership Resort” in 2012 and 2013 from the Thailand Property Awards and the South East Asia Property Awards and also the Resort Design was recognised with an ARDY from the American Resort Development Association in 2014.
Without the determination and drive of Harold, June and IRDS, Anantara Vacation Club would not be the success it is today and an integral part of the Minor Hotel Group.”
“Harold has a high level of energy and an ability to focus on a big picture. The proven abilities of developing a company, registering a complicated product in a foreign country, developing international financing relationships, attracting and motivating a quality Senior management team and exceeding sales and marketing projections were achieved in a most timely manner.
Harold excels at starting new ventures, getting them up and running. Staff enjoys working with him and following his Leadership carrying his message of integrity, intensity and hard work.
IRDS led by Harold Derrah was responsible for the start up of Trendwest South Pacific (now Wyndham South Pacific), the first major international expansion of operations, sales and marketing of Trendwest outside of the United States and it has been the most successful start-up in Trendwest's history in terms of exceeding all budgeted and ROI expectations.”
